Suggestions and bugs related to mobile responsive forums beta
Thank you for signing up for the PT mobile forums beta. At this time, we have only released a mobile friendly version of the forum thread listing page (the landing page that lists threads in reverse chronological order). Your feedback will be used to convert other pages in the forum section.

Just started using the mobile forums beta. Works great, no issues. I like how the threads titles are easy to read and click on. Keep up the good work! Much appreciated!

"Rob, could you clarify in the Uservoice comments what you mean by "automatically logged out'. The truth is, when you are logged out, you're not supposed to be able to reach the mobile friendly version at all right now."
For instance, I'm logged in at the end of the day and close my browser for the night, but leave the PT page loaded. When I open my browser the next morning I will see the same PT Mobile page, even though I've been logged out. Technically I know I should go to the top right drop down to log back in. But since the mobile page is still displayed I have the option of clicking the MyThreads star. Currently this takes me to an Error page. Presumably this error is the result of trying to access MyThreads without being logged in. It would be nice if rather than seeing an error, I was autodirected back to the log in page. Capeesh?

The main topic page works well so far and is mobile friendly. I don't see any change once you click in a thread. I still have to zoom in/out or scroll to read the thread discussion. This greatly reduces the experience in my opinion. Is there any plan to modify the discussion layout to be similar to the topic page?

When I was talking about the layout it was for the mobile though I find it fine now that i have gotten used to it

I've been using the mobile setting and have had very fee problems with it. There are a couple of minor things that could improve the experience.
First, when returning to the forum homepage after being automatically logged out, I can still see the My Threads Star. When clicking on it I'm taken to the "An Error Occurred" dead end page. If possible, it would be nice if I could automatically be redirected to the log in page.
Second, from the forum homepage, I only have the option to jump to the current page of any thread. It would be nice to have the same option as the non-mobile version of going to page 1.

Get rid of the band pics on the top of the page. When you refresh it jumps all the way back to the top and I have to see these four ugly dudes again.

Occasionally there's a blank thread line - possibly where an ad was supposed to load but didn't (I see ads have loaded within the thread lines every 30 lines, but occasionally there's just a blank line).

I like how the print is larger on the topic page when mobile app is enabled...but then when you click on the thread it goes back to being really small and I have to zoom in just like I had to when it was not mobile app enabled

I like the new bar that moves all of the options that were previously on the left margin. I noticed however, that once I click on a thread and enter the thread the options appear back on the left margin how they always were previously.
It also appears that the continous scrolling has yet to be enabled as when I enter a thread it is still broken into pages. If it will be enabled soon, I think there needs to be a way to see where you left off. In the past I might not remember the exact page I left off at but if I went to say, page 7, and read something I had previously read, then I could jump to page 8. With it all under one page it would be harder to find exactly where you left off without scanning every post.
Also, as of now I don't really like how the threads are laid out but that could be because I was so used to the old format. One other thing is that with the new layout, you can't click on the OPs username to be taken to their profile. I don't use that feature of the old layout often but I have before. Let's say someone starts a thread like "Last night was the best show I have ever seen". In the past I could just click on his username after the title and judge his stats(lol) before even entering the thread to read the rest of his post.
All of these comment were from a quick glance as I haven't dove into it much yet.
