  1. Increase max thread posts to above 499

The good threads always peak at 499 and the pt 2s are never as good. Maybe increase to 1000?

  4. [IDEA] On threads page, make "last post" time stamp more descriptive as thread ages

i'd rather just have the date stamp back personally. especially on threads older than a few hours ago. the new way could be slightly useful the way it is for very recent posts, but not for older posts.

    Proposed new format:
If posted to < 1 min ago, then display "now"
If posted to < 60 min ago, then display "27 min ago"
If posted to < 24 hours ago, then display "9:41 PM"
If posted to < 1 week ago, then display "Sun, 9:41 PM"
If posted to < 1 year ago, then display "Dec 2, 9:41 PM"
    If…

  5. Remove the 4 quote limit, automatically take only the previous 4 quotes

Replace the previous quotes with dotdotdot in quotes to show there was previous information.

editing quotes manually just seems like a pretty poor implementation of a feature that would be otherwise very easily automated in the code.

  7. [IDEA] Add a "People Watching Thread: X" Notice on Threads

This little notice can let people know how many people are following a thread, and therefore the level of interest in the thread.

Anybody who is posting in the thread or has clicked "MT" will be counted.

  8. Allow MT Button to "Bump " thread when being added to "My Threads" queue

In a time before the "MT" button the only way to add a thread to "My Threads" queue was by commenting inside the thread. Often this would take the form of a simple "mt" comment indicating you were interested in following the thread for whatever reason. This also had the side effect of bumping the thread and bringing it back to the top of the board, thus bringing it to the attention of more users.

With the introduction of the MT button this has all but died on PT, with the exception of the occasional nod in the form of…

We don’t fundamentally agree with this idea, as it breaks the paradigm of our forums and makes it more technically complicated (aka slower) to query the list of most recent conversations. We believe posts should be “bumped” only when new content is posted. Having them mysteriously move up without new content would be confusing. Preventing abuse would be hard. However, we’ll leave this suggestion open to see if it garners additional votes and comments.

  10. [IDEA] Offer set list searches by song

Get back to what this site was all about, Stats and set lists. Add better searching of set lists by being able to search on a few song and the database will return all shows with those songs (or combination of songs, depending on the search). Also, add a photo feature for songs (for either pictures of the stage set list or actual band or festival photos). being able to go back to songs in the 90s and look at photos or whatever would be a nice archive. Offer the ability to download set lists or searches into CSV. A…

  11. [IDEA] Revert to old setlist input format

The new setlist update method is absolutely horrible. Instead of just being able to simply copy and paste a whole set from another source, I have to go in and individually type songs, and then select it with my mouse from a drop down list. It's far too time consuming, and in no way more convenient than the old format. I handle most of the updating on PT Umphrey's.

  12. Banning political spammers

These political zealots are basically spamming the boards with their rhetoric, is there a way we can remove them under the no spamming clause in the Terms of Use contract?

The quality of the board has become unbearable, there are a lot of PT'ers that are going to leave if this doesn't change.

  13. Content Tags for Filtering Data

It is my opinion that Phantasy Tour would benefit from a way to "tag" content, such as forum/group posts, with tags that could be assimilated into a feed which displayed content that contains the tags that either the user selects, or perhaps like "My Editors", there could be a "My Tags" in which users can share their tags. This is kind of a half-baked idea because I'm not familiar with the codebase of the website and I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement, but I think it's worth considering.

This way you can track artists when they sit in with other bands or play in super groups or are artists at large

  15. [IDEA] On band Stats page, identify songs the debuted during the given list of shows

The impetus to this feature request was a Facebook Group discussion in which Disco Biscuit fans stated that they'd like to see this information when viewing their personal stats. Note: this information can be excluded when "Clear all Filters" is selected.

  16. add a spoiler tag feature

    Spoiler Tags.

A chunk of content that is posted on PT may revolve around information that would be best to have hidden from those who don't want to accidentally read it. A spoiler tag feature could enable users to black out certain text that they post, to be highlighted or clicked on by a viewer in order to view. I feel this may be easy to implement in the same sense that Bold and Italics are utilized. This could be a major sitewide quality of life improvement without changing much of anything at all.

  17. make it so we can distinguish between bookend transitions and true segues

We all know what segues are. Bookend transitions are when the band doesn't stop playing, but instead of ending the song they jump right into the next song. Magic Beans do this. It wouldn't be accurate to designate this as a segue, but I think it would be cool to have the option to designate it in the system.

  18. [Idea] In user profile, shows tab, load more shows automatically as user scrolls down

Replacing the view shows by band section under peoples profiles with a slider bar so that you can seamlessly scroll through the shows. Something instead of having to click "Show 20 more" several times which discourages people from even bothering. Many people on PT have been to 100+ shows. Even if you're interested in checking them out, sometimes it's just too much of a hassle.

  19. [IDEA] Add "First Show" information next to each band in member's "Shows by Band" table

On the member profile page, include the member's "first show" date next to the count of shows they've seen by each band in the "Shows by Band" table.
